A lonely telescope
The dish of the Swedish-ESO Submillimetre telescope, which was decommissioned in 2003, still sits gazing at the spectacular skies above it, as if hoping for another chance to observe the mysteries of the Universe. For now, it provides a wonderful photographic opportunity, as the stars of the Milky Way are reflected in its shiny dish.
