ALMA Drone 01

This aerial video shows a drones-eye view of ALMA, the international collaboration to create the world's largest ground-based facility for observations in the millimeter/submillimeter regime. Consisting of a giant array of 66 antennas, ALMA is the result of an international partnership of the European Southern Observatory (ESO), the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) and the National Institutes of Natural Sciences (NINS) of Japan in cooperation with the Republic of Chile. It started operations in 2011.
