Swiss 0.4-metre telescope (decommissioned)
The Swiss 0.4-metre telescope was installed at La Silla in 1975, following a convention established in 1974, in which the Council of ESO authorised the Geneva Observatory to set up a provisional observing station on La Silla. This telescope was equipped with a classical photoelectric photometer built in the Geneva Observatory, on which the seven filters of the photometric system of the Geneva Observatory were mounted. The telescope was decommissioned in March 1980, being replaced by the Swiss T70 telescope.
